The service

IT Home Help provides IT and computing support services for homes and small businesses (the "Service"). The services offered are as described on this website and as agreed with you when you request help.

Quotes and pricing

Before any work begins, we will agree with you what the work involves and the price. If additional work becomes necessary during a job, we will discuss it with you and agree any extra cost before proceeding.

Access

Where a visit is arranged, you (or an adult you nominate) must be present, and we need reasonable access to the devices and areas needed to do the work. Please let us know about anything we should be aware of, such as loose pets.

Your equipment and data

We will take reasonable care of your devices and any personal property we handle, and we will not access or copy personal data on your devices without your instruction. Backups are strongly recommended for any work that carries a risk of data loss; we will point this out before we start.

What we can and can't guarantee

We will carry out the Service with reasonable skill and care. However, because every device, system and situation is different, we cannot guarantee that every problem can be fully resolved. Where a problem cannot be fixed, we will explain the options honestly — including the costs of repair, replacement or doing nothing.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the fee you paid for the Service in question.

Payments

We will tell you how and when payment is due when we agree the work (for example, at the end of a visit). Invoices for business customers are payable within 14 days of the date of the invoice unless otherwise agreed.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
